To Our Islands
We have set the vision. We acknowledge the problem. What do we do next?
Public Private Partnerships have offered governments and states across the world a powerful policy tool for improving the economic sustainability of destinations and enhancing its quality of services. The Council is seeking to capture this potential through a formal collaboration with organizations and stakeholders in the community. The PPP Program is a commitment between a private organization or a non-profit organization with the Council of Economic Advisers and key government agencies to collaboratively maintain, enhance, and transform a site for a period of five years.
Since initiating the PPP program, the Council, Governor Torres, and Chairman Tan actively engaged civic organizations and business leaders across the CNMI to participate in adopting a public site, and coordinated collaboration with government agencies to reinvigorate and redevelop these destinations. As of March 2021, the PPP program has 54 partners and 46 sites.
