Rain or shine, our Public Private Partnership (PPP) program partners were out and about cleaning up the Marpi sites, just in time for the Korea Familiarization Tour (FAM) of Marpi on Friday, July 23. The FAM group from South Korea is The Marianas’ first batch of visitors since the Commonwealth locked its borders for a year and a half due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The FAM group includes YouTube influencers and members of South Korea’s media outlets who will be featuring Saipan, Tinian, and Rota sites on their platforms.
GCEA extends a big thank you to the Department of Land and Resources (DLNR), Parks and Recreation, for assisting our PPP partners in clearing the grass, cleaning up the restrooms, and supplying water for our clean-up efforts.
