About this project:

Naftan Point has stunning views and historical attractions where visitors can see war remnants. PCA-CNMI has adopted the first point of Naftan and vows to make it accessible to all to enjoy. PCA-CNMI plans to clear the heavy vegetation and create an access road from Hawaiian Rock to the point, where the ocean view and war remnants are visible. They plan to do a monthly clean-up on the road and the surrounding area, install trash bins, and produce signs for the site. After clearing the area, they plan to add railings and beautify the area with landscaping to include useful plants such as fruit trees and coconut trees. Future plans may include building pavilions and benches for resting and will be dependent on available resources and the cost of materials. PCA-CNMI is a nonprofit organization consisting of six officers and three Board members. There are currently 14 state representatives who are actively involved with PCA-CNMI matters. The organization is actively involved with The Flame Tree Arts Festival, The Liberation, International Festival of Cultures, and various islandwide clean-ups.

All PPP projects are made possible by the support of the Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan’s public benefit fund with the Dept. of Public Lands.
