2022 Seed to Sail - Supporting Entrepreneurship and Economic Development


The CNMI Small Business Development Center Network is hosting the first SEED to Sail (Supporting Entrepreneurship & Economic Development) event, in partnership with the University of Guam Master of Public Administration Program Graduating Class of 2023.


SEED to Sail is a guided experience for start-up and early stage businesses to create and present a pitch to support their application to receive “seed money” to fund their small business venture. Participants will receive one-on-one counseling through the CNMI SBDC Network, build a viable business plan, and network with other small business owners and entrepreneurs in the community.


Only five finalists will showcase their pitch at the main event where three winners will be awarded: 1st Place: $20,000; 2nd Place: $10,000; and 3rd Place: $5.000. The event will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 6:00pm-10:00pm at the Grand V Rio in Garapan, Saipan.

University of Guam Master of Public Administration Program Graduating Class of 2023 is seeking sponsorship from the local business community or from individuals interested in aiding aspiring small business owners in their business ventures.

Interested individuals may email seedtosail@marianas.edu for application, sponsorship information, or with additional questions. Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications on or before Thursday, September 08, 2022 no later than 5pm.
